It has that anime-look to it and I’m sure that was the plan all along. Looking at the video, I have to say I really am loving the art style. Now, from what we understand, even though the game shares the same name as the original, this will be a completely new game. Bringing it into the modern-era of beat em’ up and action-RPGs. However, once the new version gets released, it will drop the 2D in favor of a 3D look and will run on the Unreal Engine 4. Those we’ve played or still do play Dungeon Fighter Online, know that it’s currently a 2D title. Dungeon Fighter Online, that grindy action-RPG title that I spent a good portion of time with previously is looking rather different.
